How to Delete a Trello Board

Trello is a popular project management tool that allows users to create boards and organize tasks visually and intuitively. However, sometimes a Trello board may no longer be needed or may have served its purpose. In such cases, deleting a board can be a good idea to keep your Trello workspace organized and clutter-free. In this article, we will discuss how to delete a Trello board.

Before deleting a board, I suggest you backup (both cards and attachments) using Bridge24 for Trello.

It’s important to note that deleting a Trello board is a permanent action, and all the cards, lists, and attachments within the board will be lost forever. Therefore, it’s recommended to make sure that you want to delete the board before proceeding. You can archive or close a board if you’re unsure whether you will need it again.

Now, let’s take a look at how to delete a Trello board:

Step 1: Open the board you want to delete

Log in to your Trello account and navigate to the board you want to delete.

Step 2: Open the board menu

Once on the board, click on the three dots icon on the right-hand side of the board’s name. This will open the board menu.

Step 3: Click on “More”

In the board menu, click on the “More” option. This will open a drop-down menu with several options.

Step 4: Click on “Close Board”

In the drop-down menu, click on the “Close Board” option. This will open a pop-up window asking you to confirm whether you want to close the board.

Step 5: Confirm that you want to close the board

In the pop-up window, click on the “Close” button to confirm that you want to close the board. This will archive the board and will no longer be visible in your Trello workspace.

Step 6: Delete the board permanently

After selecting the option “Permanently Delete Board…” the board will be permanently deleted. And voila! You’ve deleted a Trello board. Wasn’t that easy?

And that’s it! You have successfully deleted a Trello board.

Deleting a Trello board can be an excellent way to keep your workspace organized and clutter-free. However, it’s important to remember that deleting a board is a permanent action, and all the content within the board will be lost forever. Therefore, it’s recommended to make sure that you want to delete the board before proceeding. If you’re unsure whether you will need the board again, you can archive it instead of deleting it.
